The Port Authority of Algeciras Bay (APBA) manages and administers the ports of General Interest of Algeciras - La Linea and Tarifa.

 

According to the "Ley de Puertos" 48/2003 (Ports Act, 26/11/2003), Port Authorities are public organisms with legal personality and their own patrimony, with total capacity to work and are governed by their specific legislation, by the dispositions of the budgetary general law to be applied and by law 6/1997 (14-4-97), related to organization and operation of the General Administration of the State.

 

The modern APBA Head-quarters is located in Avda. de la Hispanidad, nº 2.
