The Port of Algeciras is the unique one in Spain that based on its traffics and schedules catalogues itself as of First Category and has authorization of the European Union to make exports and imports of all type of products.

The module of PIF in the Port Bay of Algeciras is unique in Spain by its functionality, design and dimensions. It is accredited by the European Union for the inspection of all type of products, as much for human consumption as for nonhuman consumption, or are cooled, congealed or to room temperature. Also, it is accredited for the alive animal inspection.

Their facilities are formed at the moment by an administrative building (440m²), ships of inspection of merchandise (1020m²), module of alive animal inspection (460m²), operational area (6.924m²) and 15 wharves of unloading of trucks. The facilities with a scale for the weight of trucks and an area of rest to carriers are completed.
